What is a Starlink Kit?
Once you’re approved for connection, Starlink will send you a kit that includes the equipment you need to connect to the internet. This comes with a wifi router, power supply, mounting tripod and some cables. The tripod is designed for ground-level installation.
How many satellites are needed for the service?
So far, SpaceX has launched about 1,000 satellites above the planet. With more to come in the next few years, 12,000 more satellites are expected to be put in orbit, as authorized by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This will form s Starlink constellation, which could multiply up to 42,000 satellites out in space.
